Artists Wanted: Paint Carpenter Art Garden’s Iconic Hearts!
Event Details: Just Create Art – Painted Hearts Fundraiser
Goal of the Event
Carpenter Art Garden invites community artists to join us for a one-day creative experience! Artists will paint our iconic wooden yard hearts in their own signature style. These artworks will be displayed in public spaces and later auctioned off to raise funds for youth programming, art education, and community development.


Agenda
- Check-In & Setup – Artists arrive, sign in, and receive their wooden heart.
- Creative Session – Paint your heart in your unique style. Supplies will be available, but artists are welcome to bring their own.
- Gallery Preview – Completed hearts will be photographed and prepped for gallery display.
- Wrap-Up & Networking – Mingle with other local artists, community members, and Carpenter Art Garden staff.
Guidelines for Participation
- Theme: Artists are encouraged to express their individuality. Styles can range from abstract, contemporary, and graffiti-inspired to nature, cultural expression, or community pride.
- No Politics or Advertisements: Political messaging, logos, and business promotions will not be accepted.
- Mediums: Acrylic and outdoor-safe paints are preferred. If chalk or mixed media is used, a clear coat is required.
- Size & Shape: Each artist will receive a 24-inch wooden heart canvas. Please keep artwork within the boundaries of the heart shape.
- Right to Refuse: Artwork may be excluded if deemed inappropriate or not in line with community values.
Materials Provided
- Wooden yard heart (24-inch)
- Paints, brushes, and basic supplies
- Clear coat for finishing (if needed)
Artists are welcome to bring their own specialty materials.
Important Notes
- Hearts will be installed for community display before the auction.
- All proceeds from the auction will benefit Carpenter Art Garden’s art and youth programming.
- By participating, artists give permission for their artwork to be photographed and used in promotional materials.
