Sow Seeds of Peace, Help Binghampton Grow
Sow seeds of peace to nurture art and community

Seeds of Peace – Let’s Keep Growing
Dear Friends,
At Carpenter Art Garden, we believe that art, food, and community are the seeds that grow into peace, opportunity, and belonging. For more than a decade, we’ve transformed once-blighted lots into vibrant spaces where children and teens can create, learn, and thrive. Today, we are asking you to join us in growing something even greater.
Seeds of Peace is our youth-centered initiative that nurtures creativity, mindfulness, and leadership in the heart of Binghampton. What began as a promise is now a movement—one that empowers young people to tell their stories through murals, cultivate gardens that nourish their neighbors, and step into leadership roles as apprentices and changemakers.
This year, we are launching a bold campaign to raise $100,000 for Seeds of Peace. With your support, we can expand programming, provide stipends for teen apprentices, and bring powerful intergenerational projects to life. A vital part of this growth is our new partnership with the Lester Community Center, a historic gathering place for families in Binghampton. Together, we are bridging spaces—connecting the joy of art-making with the grounding power of mindfulness, and the nourishment of food with the freedom of self-expression.
Your gift plants the seeds. Every dollar is an act of faith in our youth; a belief that their voices matter, their stories deserve to be heard, and their dreams are worth investing in.
- $100 provides art supplies for one student.
- $500 funds a week of mindfulness-based programming.
- $1,000 provides a stipend for a teen apprentice to grow their craft and leadership.
- $5000 Ensures we have professional staff to deliver consistent, high-quality programming that nurtures creativity, leadership, and peace.
- $10,000 transforms an entire season of Seeds of Peace into a reality for dozens of students.
When you give, you are not just funding a program—you are cultivating a movement. You are declaring with us that food is freedom, art is history, and our young people are the historians and changemakers of tomorrow.
Together, with the Lester Community Center, we will continue to grow joy, resilience, and peace in Binghampton.
Join us. Invest in Seeds of Peace. Help us raise $100,000 and watch what grows.
🌿 Together, we grow. 🌿
